Osteopathy

I specialise in the Cranial Approach to Osteopathic Treatment, and have been practicing in this field since 2004. Cranial Osteopathy is a very gentle and refined form of osteopathic treatment which is ideally suited to treating all patients from birth to old age. Cranial osteopaths treat the whole body, including the head.

I graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2004, and have worked in the Stroud area ever since.

Initially I worked both in Stroud and at Churchdown Osteopaths. As my Stroud practice became more busy I devoted more time to it, until eventually I stopped going up to Churchdown Osteopaths altogether.

It was my interest in yoga and meditation that lead me to become an Osteopath, and for me meditation in particular plays a central role in being a health care practitioner. I make the time to go away on a meditation retreat every year which I find very rewarding both on a personal and professional level. Walking is one of my favourite forms of exercise, and the beauty of the hills and valleys around Stroud never tire on me.

The aim of treatment is to help patients help themselves, and this is done while maintaining a high social, ethical and environmental ethos. I attend post graduate osteopathic courses and conferences regularly in order to provide patients with the best possible care.

After 10 years working in the Stroud town centre, I moved my practice to a lovely location in Springhill, just 5 minutes walk from the high street. I also live in Springhill with my wife and two children, in a house further down from the clinic by the park.
